GENTE Project
The GENTE Project of Forever Costa Rica seeks to increase the resilience of at least 30 communities neighboring 15 Protected Areas, by promoting green and blue businesses, as well as the search for alternative technological solutions that improve local economies and environmental sustainability.
The project seeks to reduce negative environmental and social impacts produced by COVID-19, through a transformative change in the livelihoods of communities and individuals in rural and coastal areas, so that they implement sustainable business and development models based on bioeconomy, as well as blue and green economy.
This innovative project, which has the financial support of the Moore Foundation, promotes the reconstruction of rural and coastal economies, based on innovation in sustainable development and partnerships between academic and social organizations, the private sector, government, and communities.
