- Signing of the Cooperation Agreement of the Forever Costa Rica (FCR)- National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC) public-private partnership.
- Incorporation to the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Environmental Funds (RedLAC).
2011
- Formation of the National Maritime Surveillance Committee.
- Approval of the National Strategy for Maritime Control and Surveillance.
- Creation of the Montes Submarinos Marine Management Area.
2012
- Formation of the PACÍFICO platform, chaired by the Association.
- Let’s Save Palo Verde Campaign.
- First disbursement of the II Debt for Nature Swap.
2013
- Route of Giants Campaign.
- Host of the XV RedLAC Assembly.
- Contribution to the declaration of public interest of the National Strategy for Maritime Control and Surveillance.
2014
- Mobilization of resources for the radar installation in Cocos Island National Park.
- Obtaining the Declaration of Public Interest.
- Evaluation of the Association’s impact by donors.
2015
- All Aboard for Cocos Island Campaign, in partnership with the Friends of Cocos Island Foundation (FAICO).
- Development of the Institutional Strategic Plan 2016-2020.
- Signing the renewal of the public-private partnership Cooperation Agreement between FCR- SINAC.
2016
- Radar installation in Cocos Island National Park.
- Beginning of implementation of the Second Five-Year Plan of the Forever Costa Rica Program for protected areas.
- I Eastern Tropical Pacific Swimways Workshop.
2017
- Designation as Administrator of the I Debt-for-Nature Swap U.S. – C.R.
- Creation of the PACIFICO Foundation.
- FCR assumes the presidency of PACIFICO.
- First Meeting of Marine World Heritage Sites of the Eastern Tropical Pacific.
2018
- Implementation of the Five-Year Environmental Leadership Plan to strengthen NGOs.
- Catalyst program for impact investments (Green Economy).
- Partnership with the National Stock Exchange.
2019
- #SomosMar (We are Ocean) Campaign.
- First Responsible Investment Workshop, in conjunction with the National Stock Exchange.
- FCR assumes presidency of RedLAC.
- FCR assumes coordination of the Environmental Funds Working Group of the Conservation Finance Partnership.
2020
- Signing of Agreement with Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (INCOPESCA).
- Creation of the Barra del Colorado Marine Management Area.
- Signing of Agreement between Global Fishing Watch and INCOPESCA, with support from FCR and Pacífico Foundation.
2021
- New Forever Costa Rica Strategic Plan 2022-2026.
- Entry of our executive director, Katy de la Garza.
- FCR completed 2 years as President of the RedLAC and organized XXII Virtual Congress.
- Launch of the Gente project with the support of the Moore Foundation.
- Successful execution of CRX10 Challenge for protected areas and launching of Ocean Country campaign.
